While almost all families already have their own car/s, ours is still in our wish list. Living in London, they say, makes a car unnecessary because public transports like trains and buses are widely accessible. But then for a growing family like ours (hopefully), having a car would be a lot better. Doing the groceries and sending the kids to and from school as well as to and from their after-school clubs are a bit knotty without a car, most specially when we have babies in prams.
A second hand car is still the best option for us since hubby is still a new driver and insurance hikes to its best.
But since we’re talking about wish list now, let me share with you the makes in that list. Hubby’s wishing for a ford expedition, toyota land cruiser and mistubishi outlander – just any of the three, but if it’s possible to have them all, then why not?
Just a few days ago, I tried to browse some of the books he’s reading about driving and cars. I just want to know how easy or how difficult they are so when it’s my turn to take the driving exams, I’ll have an idea. Apart from reading about the road signs, their meanings and the rules that come with them, I was shocked to see that even the car parts and accessories are needed to be learned. There are lost of words that are really stanger to me – timing belt, radiator, thermostat, water pump, etc. Upon looking at them, I told myself, maybe I can still pass the exam about road signs and rules, but the car parts? Oh please… Can car technicians take care of them?
Oh well, we know that God has right timings for everything. We’ll surely have any of these cars when we already need them badly.
