We wanna go to Germany with Dad!!!

And I say it like I’m having tantrums.

I created this blog basically because I want to document here my supposedly, “TRAVELS”. But up to this day, I guess I have only posted 2 or 3 places I’ve been to. Well, where does a stay-at-home-mum go anyway? ;) But now that hubby’s been given the chance to go to Germany for his business trip(s), we said we want to go, even just once. I would love to just take pictures of it and who knows? It might be the start of the fulfilment  of the “travels” category of this blog.

Now, while I dream about it, I remembered my Dell laptop is turning 1. I was an avid user of acer laptop computers before I transferred to Dell and boy! How I miss it. It’s for me one of the makes with complete features even the lowest line (uhhmm, yeah! I have the lowest line then) as it functions pretty well and the physical feature is also awesome. With Dell, I’m pretty ok with it, but still I’m an Acer lover. ;)

From travel to laptops, eh?

Goodbye to our MacBook Aluminum

Posted by acmomcee | Gadgets | Monday 22 November 2010 9:20 pm

Before I start the story why we’re saying goodbye to it, let me first say the warmest thanks to the Apple Ireland team. They have the best customer service ever – the best we’ve encoutered so far. :)

When we upgraded our OS to Snow Leopard, the performance of our MacBook became sluggish. So hubby tried to exchange emails with them and though it’s taken us almost 5 months, they haven’t stopped responding to us until they offered for an exhange. Since MacBook Aluminum is no longer available, they just exchanged it with MacBook Pro – brand new and under 1 year warranty. Isn’t that the best compensation??? ;)

We took a pic of the 2 before we finally send our MacBook back to Apple and there we’ve seen their physical difference. I guess you can tell just by looking at them.We really thought it’s exactly the same physically and only their specs differ, but aside from the option to make the keyboard light up, the color of the monitor differs as well.

Macbook Aluminum Vs. MacBook Pro

Now, our old one has been sent back to Apple and what they will do with it, we don’t know. They might just sell it as refurbished netbooks or they’ll gonna re-assemble it and turn into a brand new pro or whatever. It’s none of our business anymore. ;) But then again, Apple needs a heads up. Everyone deserves to know how much they value their customers. We are just one of the lucky ones to have experienced it. Thanks Apple! This is why we remain loyal. :)

I Do

Industrial PC?

Posted by acmomcee | Gadgets | Tuesday 2 November 2010 12:34 pm

Being in front of my PC whole day everyday and being knowledgable about more than basics, I know I have yet to learn. When I was working as a freelance virtual assistant, other employers ask if I am knowledgable about using an Industrial pc but with the fact that I have not yet worked in any office environment, I always answer no, but of course I’m willing to learn about it. I believe it isn’t as complicated as it should because computing is just about getting the hang of it and exploring.

If I again decide to become a freelancer, then I’ll make sure that little by little, I’ll try to read about it while I stay in my computer everyday.
